Are you sowing enough canola seeds? Here’s some results derived from an @theGRDC project that could help adjust seeding rates (kg/ha) based on small, medium or large seed size. Hope it helps.

I am concerned about the level of paraquat resistant fleabane I am finding on the Adelaide Plains..note the green plants amongst the brown.. 150lt/ha water and 3lt paraquat hasn’t touched these.

Fleabane from SA cropping paddock survived 4L/ha paraquat! Other cases being tested. Dead plants = our susceptible standard killed with same rate. ⁦@DMAg_consultant⁩ ⁦@agrobaz

Medic germinating in January, ryegrass germinating in December, and an El Niño that just keeps on raining. A summer full of surprises. What’s next?

Due to a tree obstruction, this client opted for a drone to optimise their coverage and overall weed control using Basagran + MCPA. It’s exciting having tools like this available for our rice crops. @EldersLimited @ricegrowers @RiceExtension @GrowerService @GrahamPage01

Local Cunninyeuk farmer tells me the duck pressure this season is the most he has seen in his 44 years of growing rice “by a long way”. Creating some real headaches this season.

Put the bird up yesterday to observe lentil maturity differences at Beulah. 1st photo Thunder (RHS) coming in faster than Hallmark both rated ‘Mid’ maturity. 2nd photo no clear difference between Lightning (RHS) and Hurricane. Excited for yield results @JasonBrand @FanningJosh_

Sending the #drone up today to aid decision making around canola windrow timing. Very handy to identify areas which are more/less advanced.

It works! 1967 John Deere 55 combines wheat again for the first time in 43 years. Took a fair bit of sheet metal work and some new chains. Beautiful day for some nostalgic harvesting! #harvest23

Scepter wheat on irrigation at Swan Hill. Irrigation ✅ Nutrition ✅ Fungicide ✅ Flat tyre 😡
