For everyone who doubted Project 2025 as "something that comes up every year and they never roll it out" well it's being rolled out now. That's all that's the tweet

Ok so I don't see many people talking about Gen Z and Gen X and how they voted. Because my dear generations y'all got some work to do. Also miss me w/ millennials didn't deal with anything & had a better outcomes. Because a lot of our friends went to war.

No more fees in NY!

When we elect Working Families Champions - real people from the community - to local, state, and federal office like @OsseChi, this is what we get. A bill and vote to end unfair fees for renters. More money in people's pockets.

BREAKING: The NLRB has just ruled that captive audience meetings are illegal nationwide. These are mandatory meetings where bosses try to persuade workers not unionize, often using coercive tactics.

You may want to delete some of these. Hunger strike got NY undocumented community 1 billion dollars in covid relief Sit-Ins got gun reform laws in Illinois I could go on. Some of these yes please miss me like parades.

Please miss me with any of the following: Sit-ins Die-ins Hashtags Silent protests Dancing in front of Brownstones Blue bracelets Projecting signs on buildings Flash mobs Theatrical performances Vigils Symbolic dress or costumes Marches Parades Art installations Chaining…

This part

The way people are talking you would never have known that the central pillar of the Democratic campaign strategy was bringing up the border bill that Trump shot down.

"When we treat the working class as synonymous with white people, we're ignoring what's happening with...people that are opting out of the electoral process altogether." @MalaikaJabali on how Dems are losing working class voters because too many have given up on politics.

Yup parts of NY would be on fire days after the election. Please stay safe out there yall. Also the air is not ok to breathe

One good thing today was Shaina Taub is a Grammy nominee! So proud of the show I've gotten to work on this year and don't forget to see SUFFs before closing January 5th.

Our Tony®-winning score is now Grammy®-nominated. Pop the giggle juice!

The blame game is exactly what the right wing wants and so do the billionaires. The ultra-wealthy IMO of this country have been to blame, they were to blame in the Gilded Age and they are still to blame. Period.

The only battleground states in this graphic are PA (where Latinos were ~5% of voters) & GA (where this analysis doesn't show a swing). So, yes, very big swings. But no, these (admittedly pretty) charts do not show that Hispanics "pushed Trump over the line."

a look at how counties with large hispanic populations helped pushed trump over the line:

We can tell two stories -- (1) huge, historic Latino swings, (2) uniform swing across demos that actually determined the election -- without conflating them. That's the kind of political education we need from our reporters & political scientists.

As you ask what happened with Latino voters, some favorite journos/story tellers/explainers who have been telling this story for years: @sabrod123 @NatashaSAlford @Carrasquillo @realcpaz @jherrerx @paoramos @drnoriega

I was so mad at political media after 2016, cause I felt like it had failed in understanding the country (hence our surprise). And so much of our motivation at @TheRunUpNYT has been informed for that feeling — help ppl understand electorate and they’ll be ready for any result

I firmly believe that anyone who struggles to personally see the Trump appeal, but who also listens to @AsteadWH and his excellent podcast The Run-Up was able to reconcile these results more easily. Give today’s episode a listen to understand the double hater breaking for Trump.
