Grateful ❤️

This summer, we brought the PAVING the Path to Wellness program to breast cancer patients @The_BMC, thanks to a collaboration with @NaomiKoMD & @ewarner_12 As I noted in the article above, I hope "this expansion is only the beginning." Excited about further collaborations!

Nothing like being on call over the weekend (covering multiple services) and having @omarsiddiqi put in his usual tremendous effort and thoughtful care to help with a tough case. ❤️

This is unacceptable

How much does it cost to live with #sicklecelldisease? About $1.7 million per person for commercial healthcare insurers and $44K in out-of-pocket medical costs for patients, according to a new analysis: go.usa.gov/xue4S @BloodAdvances @thecuresci @BloodHealthEd

On service @The_BMC busy Oncology team and these conversions are mission critical. Our awesome pharmacist hooked us up with HPMD.

Grateful for the opportunity to draw caution to what we define as “patient factors”

Many factors contribute to the inconsistencies in medical care & health outcomes, specifically for #breastcancer patients. BMC oncologist, @naomikomd shares how drawing blanket conclusions can actually cause more harm than good, via @gohealio: bit.ly/3rYLTiw

We have lost Paul far too soon. Paul was our compass, on a dual mission to promote health and equity. Paul created proximity to listen and heal. I miss his warmth and friendship. May we all do justice to his memory. newyorker.com/magazine/2000/… @harvardmed @MassGenBrigham @PIH

Paul was a gift to humanity. Such a big heart and generous spirit. I will miss his warmth and friendship. He inspired generations to ask how we could best serve the twin causes of health and justice. And he led by example. I’m heartbroken by his passing. I will never forget him.

#BREAKING: Dr Paul Farmer, a renowned American physician and co-founder of Partners in Health @PIH, has died aged 62. Farmer was a receipt of the National Order of Outstanding Friendship (Igihango), which he was conferred upon by President #Kagame in August 2019.

What a beautiful way to care for another human being. Stories like this are what inspired me to become a doctor. Thank you Dr. Stukus

I taught a teenage patient how to shave. You should be asking why or how this would ever come up during a visit for food allergies. This one may surprise you. A little thread ⬇️ #SundayThoughts 1/9
