I often get asked why I joined the @RoyalAirForce The answer is too complicated for a Tweet, so, here’s a bit of a Saturday afternoon 🧵...
10 years since the delivery of the first Atlas (A400M), it’s now a vital asset to UK defence supporting military and humanitarian missions. Find out more 🔗 raf.mod.uk/news/articles/…
After a year off from @RAFHockey I’m so glad to be back in my happy place. Every time I get to pull on this top is such an honour, and every time I get to walk onto the pitch with this team is a privilege. #NoOrdinaryJob #NoOrdinaryTeam
The Masters competition kicking off now to open the 2024 Interservices, opening with RAF men vs the Army. Let’s go Air Force.
So proud of both of these teams today, but especially proud to be passing the No1 shirt to Kiera as she captains the @RAFHockey Women’s Tri-Service Cup Team. #Goalkeepersareamazingpeople #NoOrdinaryJob #NoOrdinaryTeam
An early start for our Tri-Service Cup teams this morning at Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre for the Tri-Service Indoor Cup. The men are in first vs the REME men’s team.
Honoured to attend the Armistice Day service at Snaresbrook Memorial Garden today and place a wreath on behalf of the constituency. Good to speak with attendees and organisers. Thank you for your dedication to supporting our community and honouring our veterans.
When you go home, tell them of us and say, ‘for your tomorrow, we gave our today.’
Sunrise at the Cenotaph. Today thousands of veterans will join The Royal Family and Armed Forces personnel on parade to commemorate those who have died in service to their country. On Remembrance Sunday, and every day, we will remember them.
On this Remembrance Sunday, we reflect upon the selfless service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces. If you are visiting the Club, we invite you to join us in observing a minute silence in the Reception to pay tribute to those who have given so much.
My great uncle Gerald spent a career serving his country in a way that does not get talked about often during this season of Remembrance. Many names go left unsaid without whom we would not enjoy the same liberties we have today. #LestWeForget
For 85 years after its founding in 1909 #MI6 didn’t officially exist. That changed in 1994 with our avowal in the Intelligence Services Act and move to our first public home at Vauxhall Cross. 30 years on much must stay undisclosed as we work, secretly, to keep our nation safe.
Or 'serving personnel expect same basic living conditions at home as they'd get on civvy street'?
Army crisis as Gen Z soldiers say they'll only stay on if they're handed en-suite bathrooms and better Wi-Fi gbnews.com/news/army-cris…
Spending the weekend inside fighting off what has turned into a chest infection, and planning next year’s adventures. Hoping for some more time outside in the great British countryside. Who should I do my fundraising for?
Proud to be helping this great group of young men and their coaches as Team Manager. We’re all learning lots and working hard.
GB U18s stormed to a 2-19 (0-3, 0-5, 2-4, 0-7) victory against Estonia at the EU Nations Junior Men's today; a perfect response to GB’s opening 7-18 (2-5, 3-5, 0-4, 2-4) defeat to Slovakia. Next up on Sun are Belgium (2.20pm UK time) and Ukraine (5.50pm UK time).
Loving these pictures in the Facebook memories from a previous @RAFHockey Indoor Interstations. I was gutted to miss it this year while I was on a course - this event is one of the highlights of my year, bringing together players at all standards and sharing the love of the game.
When you’ve got a monster cold and in back-to-back meetings all day, you need something to cheer you up. Glad for the flexibility in my job that I can work from home tomorrow and fight off the last of the lurgy 🤧
It’s #throwbackthursday. OTD 2023 I was at @CranfieldUni near Milton Keynes working on my Hydrogen Propulsion refuelling System Safety Assessment as part of an MSc in Safety and Human Factors in Aviation, funded by the @ChiefofAirStaff Fellowship scheme.
