Our newest paper, reporting a new transcriptional repressor of the embryonic program in Arabidopsis, has been published in JIPB and is available now. It was a great opportunity to work on this project in Song Lab at UBC. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ji…

They are not putting the vaccine in " #GMO tomatoes and salad " (It would be much more stable in the dressing) And if it was in food imagine how many more people it could reach throughout the world. It's not true, but I wish it was. #ScienceHug

I honestly think we value academic degrees too much in our society. Of course, having a PhD is great but somehow we devalue people who work with their hands. When a toilet is broken a good plumber is certainly better than someone who knows the physics of a toilet theoretically.

How do #transription_factors regulate maturation traits in the #seed? Combinatorial networks of master regulators are involved! Read our review in #Current_Opinion_in_Plant_Biology for more. authors.elsevier.com/c/1dVLl4tPF3mL…

In 2011, Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer Doudna had no idea that their first meeting, in a café in Puerto Rico, would be life-changing. Read more about their discovery that reshaped the life sciences and has led to the 2020 #NobelPrize in Chemistry: nobelprize.org/prizes/chemist…

Airplanes fly about 600mph, but the @Space_Station orbits Earth at 17,500mph and looks like a very bright star moving across the sky. Did you know that you can track when the station will pass overhead? Find out when and where to look up: go.nasa.gov/2yRNQkI
