Everyone I know has the flu, covid, RSV, or no kids.
EDI has become a colonial weapon of oppression @JustinTrudeau @SSHRC_CRSH @FP_Champagne @ChiefSciCan EDI Tri-Agency metrics just kicked the stool out from under the limited number of us Indigenous Scholars within academia & our expert allies. We need to meet to discuss. #ecology
I was a co-applicant on a research proposal whose leadership team included senior and ECR Indigenous women, global experts in the field. It also centered communities, IK, and place in delivery of outcomes. And then this happened:
True EDI is a transfer of resources (in addition to other things). Letting Indigenous women lead a massive scientific network should tick all the EDI boxes. Full stop.
My close friend lost her pre-teen to suicide this week. She just told me. I'm so heartbroken. Please send advice on how I can best support her and her family from afar.

“Nothing about us without us” is proving to be insufficient. It’s time for “NOTHING ABOUT US THAT ISN’T LED BY US.” Yes, all caps is necessary. #nativesinstem #ecology
Dexter is forever a part of the @EntSocBC
He would be proud, but would also be amazed that this was done for him. He was humble and did not put himself first in anything.
Just for clarification @EntSocBC presented it's student awards at our AGM today and won't be presenting at this ceremony. Congratulations to all the winners!

Indeed, i whole heartedly agree with Dr. @WidowWeb All Minorities require allies from members of the majority groups. I hope my friends and colleagues step up to support. When Minorities win, Entomology wins. Our World Wins. #entsoc2022 @EntsocAmerica
