Who knows the answer?! 📚💜

Is this why I hate driving in the dark? Because of my astigmatism? Headlights dazzle me, they're literally the only thing I see! Is there a pedestrian being obscured by their lights? Where's the edge of the road? Are they driving in a straight line or right at me? Or me at them?!

Driving at night when you have astigmatism & everyone’s headlights are brighter than the fucking sun absolutely sucks. Also, are they going over a bump or flashing me? Who knows?!

These nominations always get me very excited but then also leave me feeling a bit blurry because: A) I want to read all the books & being a full time teacher & mum to young kids means this isn't always doable. B) I want to make a big deal of this in school and don't know how!

The 2025 Carnegies nominations are live! 🎉 Join us in celebrating the storytelling and illustration recognised this year. 🏆 See the list and get ready for an inspiring awards season! Congrats to all nominees! #Carnegies2025 #ReadingForPleasure carnegies.co.uk/nominations-an…

And a final book request this evening. Has anyone read The Dark Is Rising by Susan Cooper? Is it a good, adventurous text with literary quality suitable for reading at pace with y7 please?

Change of plan! The topic is now the UK. in all its glory. Human geography, physical geography, landmarks etc. so I'm thinking extracts on Stonehenge, the coasts, UK mountains etc...?! Suggestions on an x post please...

I'm planning a reading/library based lesson for y7 geographers on volcanoes. Does anyone know of any good fiction texts about volcanoes, any good volcanic descriptions etc that I can include please? Thank you 🤞🏼
