Since I've been absent here recently, I thought i'd start sharing a bit of my work. I was quite pleased with how this HUUUGE Roman pit came out! I do love quadranting large features like this!

Probably my favourite find to date! EBA Barbed and tanged notched arrowhead! So ornate compared to others I have seen! I'd love some further information on it if anyone has any! #Archaeology #Brozeage #Lithics #Arrowhead

First ACTUAL slot prior to the Duritriges project! Another interesting Ironage site! From the Durotriges tribe in the south, back up north to the Coritani tribe! It's not nice putting sections through baked clay... it could have gone allot worse, though! #Archaeology #IronAge

Really excited to say i'll be taking part in the Sisters long barrow excavation with BU Arch & Anth department and Tim Darvill in August. Will I be seeing any familiar faces from the Durotriges project whilst I'm there?? #Durotriges23

A look back to one of my favourite places to dig! Always very wet here, but the roman kiln site of Market Raisen always supplies the goodies! I've personally discovered over 10 complete Roman vessels there in 2 digs, 6 of which were within one slot! #Roman #Archaeology

I've spent the last couple of days digging this in my hometown of Gainsborough, a medieval structure with an internal oven, and cobbled surface, which I believe is possibly later, I'll spend the rest of the week planning and recording then onto another ironage site! #Archaeology

One week digging with Bournemouth Arc & Anth on #durotriges23, 7 heritage sites visited, including 2 world heritage sites. I definitely made the most of it! One of the best weeks of my life. I feel alive! Back excavating on a site in my hometown on Monday!

That's my week digging on the Durotriges big dig done. Finished up the week with a section drawing and plan of my pit. It's been an honour, and I have met some wonderful people! Back to the clays and silts of the northern commercial excavations for me! #Durotriges23

The Barkaeologists are on site today at #Durotriges23. I didn't catch their names, but I'm pretty sure it's "Indiana Bones" and "Howard Barker"
