It’s amazing the impact of an everyday conversation. This year I will be more intentional about each interaction I have. I have witnessed on so many occasions the impact of one small conversation it can change one’s trajectory. Here’s to 2023!
Don't just teach your children how to be successful, teach them how to respond when they are not successful, teach them how to handle failures and learn from their mistakes.
We expect students to right wrongs, but have they ever been explicitly taught how?? Two minute lesson on apologies with restorative practices… I use this as a mom. I use this as an educator. And I use this as a human being who has to apologize pretty regularly. #SELSunday

My department visited Muskegon Public Schools as part of our initiative to ensure safety in public schools across the state. Underserved communities require funding for security improvement measures, & MI needs common sense gun safety laws to keep firearms out of our schools.
