Today we held a “Mix It Up Day” at lunch. Students were given a Tootsie Pop which directed them where to sit! The tables included questions and conversation starters as kids sat with kids they don’t normally sit with.

Sometimes we get lost in the world of social media. You know what's awesome? How many principals and teachers don't post to social media and are not even on social media, but yet they are showing up to school every single day, impacting and changing lives. I love it.
There are moments that I think of going into speaking/writing full time, but then I realize how much I love being part of a school community…the families, the staff, and the kids… there’s nothing like it.
One of the coolest things I continue to find is the number of AMAZING school leaders who were once coaches... @PatrickM_Hinson is the Principal at Marble Falls High School and his background as a former coach is really inspiring. Tune into the #UUPotential Stories Show...…

I went on a 30 minute walk with my wife this morning. She talked for 29 minutes and 30 seconds of the walk. I love her.

I just did a walkthrough and the teacher loaded me up with Sour Patch Kids. It reminded me of when I was a kid in class. Candy tastes better at school, always has.
