I love a Cromwell, but I love it even more when it’s painted up in FPAD colours.
Bristol Area IC on manoeuvres. Another brilliant visit to the Tank Museum.
Pleased to announce that at long last, The Bristol Area IC has its own account on this platform. @WeHaveWaysPod
Those of you who have followed me from my first posts on Twitter will remember my attempts to share the Polish perspective on the 75th anniv of the Battle of Falaise. Chuffed beyond words to be able to announce this on the 80th anniversary. Much love for all your support xx
On the Falaise Gap closure anniversary, we honour Gen Stanisław Maczek, who led the 1st Polish Armoured Division to this key victory in Normandy. His memoir, "The Price of Victory," is now available for pre-order. It is truly an inspiring story of courage and sacrifice. 📜
Well I know what my next reads going to be!!!

Another excellent evening with the Bristol Area IC. Plenty of west country waffle, good food and drink @WeHaveWaysPod
Umm … what about the British and Indian Army fighting them @TankMuseum ? The ones who knocked out the Type 95 in your collection? They came unstuck against 7 Armoured Brigade as early as Feb 1942 and avoided British/Indian tank regiments for the rest of the war …
The Japanese Army’s tanks were generally light and suited to fighting the under-equipped infantry present in the Far East. Once the Americans and Soviets arrived though, they quickly showed their vulnerability. Watch our Tank Chat on Ha-Go here: youtu.be/LhCsc_rYgA4
Mont-Ormel. Beautiful monument to the Polish Armoured.

As a special tribute to Squadron Leader Mark Long, Spitfire TE311 has a new paint scheme. On her Star Board side, TE311 now wears the fictitious squadron code “L-NG”, with Sqn Ldr Mark Long annotated under the cockpit along with a Sqn Ldr pennant.
Certainly had a shock when I listened to the questions at the end, nice little cameo 😂
Today's @PodBattleground is our first 'live' performance, recorded at the @ChalkeFestival, and is the 2nd of two episodes on Patrick's brilliant new book Paris '44: The Shame and the Glory, covering D-Day and the liberation of the French capital open.spotify.com/episode/55q4cl…
