“This is implementation, where is innovation?!” — will never forget this piece of “wisdom” for the rest of my life

Been trying to improve the video functions of the VENUS SUB 2020. Managed to get rid of the bouncy picture in Master System mode. Image position is still a bit off but at least it's stable. Ngl, coding firmware on the RTD2660 is not exactly smooth sailing... 😫🤕

Did people actually play sonic 3 & knuckles in public like this

I remember this chocolate to be around 400 JPY until not so long ago.... 😓

Die Jungs bei GigaDevice haben Spaß. Alles Wurst bei denen ...

The firmware on the VENUS SUB 2020 has to made do with about 1 KByte of RAM. It makes it difficult to imagine what the heck is going on there on my PC ....

What better thing to do when the outside temperature drops to bearable levels? Shirt off and run the GCC testsuite on all cores of course.... arrrr 🧨

Playing peekaboo with a spider on my computer screen🤪

Added a warning message to myself. Hope to reduce some potential mistakes 😅

BTW, found the bug within a day or so. It was a classical Schrödinbug ... it should have never worked in the first place but it did somehow. Always remember to check your array bounds! 🤠

Trying to hunt down a rare bug that happens only once in a while. Using two devices should theoretically catch it twice as fast, or so they say ... 🤓

OMG -- this is what I was really hoping for. The real Eggman will be back! Can't wait.

This section of Jim Carrey's wikipedia article cracks me up

What an exercise in patience, when every adjustment takes that long to "compute". Difficult to believe, all 16 cores spinning at 4 GHz...

Holy moly ....

Get ready for the world’s first demo of Earthion at PAX West 2024 in Seattle! You’ll get to play Stage 1 and experience the breathtaking graphics and epic sound. Don’t miss it. Head to Limited Run’s booth and check it out!

I have successfully replaced the problem of not having screens with the problem of having too many screens for #SegaNomad VENUS SUB 2020. Will have to come up with some new projects later ... other than that, land is in sight! ⛵️

#SegaNomad VENUS SUB 2020 9-pin AV out or 10-pin AV out. The choice will be yours.

Using wood pieces for some ad hoc tooling for the manufacturing of VENUS SUB 2020 parts. Making 5 parts is one thing. Making 100+ parts is a whole different story. ⚒️

WHOO!!!! This is an actual hardware capture of @SonicFreak94's INCREDIBLE port of #SonicMania to the Sega #Dreamcast, compiled with the latest SH-ELF-GCC14.1.0 toolchain, running on the tip of the KallistiOS SDK's master branch, streaming in assets from the virtual filesystem…

Sure, those fax and floppy disk stories in Japan are crazy. But what we can also see very often is the use of composite video (CVBS) to play back e.g. infomercial DVDs in stores. And every time I see one, I'm stunned by the video quality this setup gets delivered. How?!?! 🤯

Have been experimenting some more with a woofer-type replacement speaker for the #SegaNomad. It's feasible. Could also add a bass reflex port. But the problem is the whole case vibrates -- no idea how to mechanically decouple it.
