🚨 🌡️August will be the warmest month ever recorded in Longyearbyen (Svalbard) at 78°N in the Arctic, reaching an average temperature of 11°C (+-0.1°C). This surpasses even July's records by a large margin, while July is historically the warmest month. Uncharted territory.

I love John's football content - so clear on the joy and meaning to be found in sport and it's communities.

A video about falling in love with football. youtube.com/watch?v=kdkSwV… Thanks, @AFCWimbledon

Howard S. Becker, my dear former teacher and mentor died yesterday afternoon in his beloved San Francisco at 95. He rested peacefully at home and was in no pain. I will always remember Howie, and the careful instruction he gave to me as a young qualitative field worker. RIP.

I know not every paper can cite all relevant work. But I feel like if a recent paper has been published on the exact same case study, and you even talked to said author about that case study when they were getting to know the site, then maybe some engagement is merited 🤷‍♂️
