One of the artists involved in the Cambridge Playlaws is Pippa Hale, she's been busy in Leeds in the last week too, with the launch of a major new public art sculpture 'Ribbons' bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

A symbolic act may be to remove No Ball Games signs. How about replacing with locally suggested alternatives? Like ‘Jumpers for Goalposts’ as suggested by resident Owen. Now a real plaque with QR code on Parker’s Piece, Cambridge cambridgeplaylaws.fun/playmap/plaque… @ThePlaylaws

This PlayLaw is wonderful, in a world where spaces are designed to stop young people loitering & this is just a part of being young. Us older folk took loitering for granted. Better, it's in a space where young folk love to loiter. Wonderful stuff @ThePlaylaws @CambJunction

Last summer 4,500 people took part in play activities, 80 people shared their memories of play, and 450 new ‘playlaws’ were suggested. One person who shared their memories of play in Cambridge was Mary, who used to play in the Cattle Market at what is now Cambridge Leisure.
