@Team_English1 @FunkyPedagogy @HughesHaili @SPryke2 @K2SR7 @HaleDonal Hoping Twitter can do its thing 🙏 1. What are your favourite (modern) plays to teach at KS3? 2. If it’s not a GCSE text in the school, would you consider teaching AIC in Year 9?

Are you looking for a story to read to your class during #AntiBullyingWeek? Highly recommend this version of Mud Boy read by Brenda Sewell. “MUD BOY" A story about Bullying , presented by Brenda Sewell youtu.be/AtG0ZBWKGGY?fe… via @YouTube

I watched an amazing French #film on #Netflix called #Momo; I thought it would be a caper, but in fact it was an utterly touching tale that made me cry. (No spoilers.) There are also some truly funny moments. Merci @SebastienThiery .

Today’s favourite quote of the day. Fill in the gaps: :Will all great __________ ocean wash this ________ clean from my hand? Me, attempting to help, ‘you know god of the sea’ Student: Aquaman 😳

Did you know each paperback has a TWIN? They’re printed in pairs then separated at the end of the process (see photo below for mine) So the paperback you’re reading now has a twin, somewhere in the world. A connection to another reader we’ll never know. I think that’s magical!

This is the desk that Jane Austen wrote many of her masterpieces, including Pride and Prejudice. On this tiny 12 inch desk. All you need is a pen, paper, a good idea and time. You can write a novel. #writers ##amwriting #janeausten

If a child’s hand hurts from writing, teach them to give it a massage, check they aren’t holding the pen too tightly, and reassure them that it happens to you too from time to time. Once it feels better, they can continue.
