NYT publisher AG Sulzberger emails the Times newsroom saying the NYT Tech Guild strike will likely continue through the election. He says it is “troubling that the Tech Guild would try to block this public service at such a consequential moment for our country.”

It’s embarrassing that New York Times management broke federal labor law and pushed for a strike on Election Day. They were warned 2 months ago this would happen and instead decided to hurt NYT’s coverage. I will always stand with @NYTGuildTech
As a result, I do not know whether we will be able to publish the needle. There are good reasons to bet against it, though perhaps there are scenarios where things are running super smoothly; alternately, we hit bugs at the start and there's no chance.
