Agree, & this is the art of health coaching IMO. Creating the framework for improvement is relatively simple (outside of elite level athletes), But having someone trust & respect you enough to implement that framework is the real skill.

The issue is that’s boring to hear Everyone knows that but they often aren’t willing to do the uncomfortable part of creating an environment in which it’s possible Therefore the ‘bizarre’ things are just shortcuts that they are trying to find to skip that Foundations first

I am always shocked at the number of bizarre things people do to "optimize" their health and longevity and yet they don't exercise regularly, sleep 7-9 hours, eat fruits and veggies, build intimate bonds and community, or ever relax. They obsess over the 0.1% but not the 99.9%.



The link between intermittent fasting & chronic stress is an interesting one that needs more research. Even more so when caffeine is included in that fasting window.

One of the best “hacks” for stress is eating as close to waking up as possible. If you don’t have an appetite in the morning that means your body is running on stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol which suppress appetite. Easiest way to lower stress levels is by eating..
