My brain is an indefinite point in time and space, detached from reality, only useful as a mathematical curiosity. These posts have erased all identifying properties and dimensions. It smoothly transitions from existence to oblivion

SpaceX made me change my mind again. There's a space launch concept where a suborbital craft is caught by an orbiting tether, which pulls it into orbit. I always thought the precision needed was more than was practical. (Art by Skyhook1 on wikipedia)

All the poor artists and creators on Twitter. Prior to today, you could opt out of having your posts used for AI / generative training. The new amended terms and conditions have made it impossible to do so. ๐Ÿซ

โ€œOne small catch for humanityโ€ Hereโ€™s my composite image from IFT5, the moment rapidly reusable rocket booster technology was successfully tested for the first time. In future classrooms on Mars, this will be in their history books. Available in print for a short time.

Back in 2012, a friend & I built a printer like this, wrote a patent, walked away & just published as prior art b/c we were bitter with Stratasys FDM patents holding back decades of 3DP progress. Below - a test part, of a hopeful future of incredible things from vats of goo.

The 3D Gell Printer.

The footage I got from this launch is unreal. This is 350 of 3500 photos hand stabilized showing the hot staging sequence. There's so much happening in this video every time I watch it I notice something different. Bravo @spacex team! Tons more content coming, including prints!

Imagine the size and weight of the legs needed to land Superheavy and compare those to how tiny this pin is. That difference in weight now goes towards the payload of every future flight. More mass to orbit, less refueling flights, not to mention how much easier turnaroundโ€ฆ
