The GOP idea of manhood is almost quixotic - always fighting battles with enemies that don’t exist, imagining gas guzzling are their ferocious steeds - but without the heart that makes Quixote so lovable. GOP manhood is a marvel movie, popular but void of a soul.
I remember one episode towards season 8, that had 3 rack focuses in one 30 second scene, and thought, man the choreography for this small bit, and they did this 24 times a year. I only really noticed it on my like 10th rewatch. They actually really cared about this show.
I love this movie because every criticism of it is like “this is not music I would execute a prisoner to” Like if full metal jacket was released today and I heard people leaving wondering why they were singing the Mickey Mouse theme.

Sometimes I think an artist is afraid for people to find out they are actually a conservative. It’s like this, but with fans.
It’s weird that people read that Chappell Roan quote about the election and take it to mean that she’s an undecided centrist and not that every option available to her is too far right of where she stands as a woman and as an artist.
