The teacher pathway program is such an amazing addition to our schools. It really ignited my passion for education and was one of the things that drew me to USD. Also loved having @GinaBenz605 as my teacher. So lucky to have been part of such an amazing program. #teachingcoyotes

The teacher pathway program allows high school students to experience the career of education firsthand with the guidance of teachers in the district. argusleader.com/story/news/edu…

I’m also very excited for this event! I am trying to finish out the semester strong!! We’re almost there!! #teachingcoyotes

So excited to see the animals from our local shelter at USD's pet away the stress event on Wednesday! The end of the semester is so hard, keep going yotes! Make sure to take care of yourselves and drink water! We can make it! #teachingcoyotes

I completely agree. More often than not, in the real world, we can find the answer to things we don’t know. Why can’t students do the same? #teachingcoyotes

It really doesn't make any sense that when kids take these standardized tests or any test for that matter that they can't use an anchor chart or notes to help them. I know I am constantly referring to definitions, examples and models of things when I'm doing my own work.

As a future Spanish teacher, I will try my best to have advanced proficiency in Spanish. I hope my year of study abroad will help me. I also hope to bridge the gap between “Proper Spain Spanish” and the Spanish most native speakers speak. #teachingcoyotes

So disgusting and embarrassing for SD. As educators, we should be promoting diversity and inclusivity. Not indoctrinating our students with our own agendas. We need to do better. #teachingcoyotes

So thankful for these great friends who love to talk everything education with me. And of course my wonderful sister who is also an education major! :) #teachingcoyotes

It is so fun to have friends @BrianaDewitte and @ElenaWhalenUSD that share the same passion for teaching as me! We discuss education and how important to make friends in the field not only for connections, but to have people understand your frustrations and listen #teachingcoyotes

Dress codes are not helpful for students as they tend to be sexist and culturally insensitive. Removing students from class does nothing to help them in their education. Schools should not be targeting their students based on demographics. Let's do better. #teachingcoyotes

Very well said. As a student, I have felt all of the difficulties that everyone in school has been facing, especially since COVID. Now as a substitute teacher, I see this from the teaching perspective as well. #teachingcoyotes

Very well said. Teachers can learn so much from their students. It will never make sense to me why some teachers don’t get this. #teachingcoyotes

Removing student narratives and drowning out student voices creates a network of blind spots for a teacher. You will never reach your potential as an educator or help students realize their potential while lacking those vital elements of a classroom.

I love this. Life can seem so crazy, and it’s very easy to get caught up in everything. Positive thoughts every morning can hopefully help me slow down and appreciate everything around me. ❤️ #teachingcoyotes

Allowing yourself time in the morning to frame your day can make a world of difference. #edchat #education #happiness

Great video!! This would be a really great video to show to students who are learning the verb “gustar.” It will really help with their listening and understanding. #teachingcoyotes

Our new video! Juan and Pamela use the verb "gustar" to talk about activities they like. It's a new addition to our Easy Conversations playlist. youtu.be/Y3oT58VUQxs #langchat #homeschool #duallanguage #learnspanish

I love this. Some of my most positive experiences from school come from the relationships I had with my teachers. As a future teacher, I will strive to build good relationships with my students so that they can have the best experience in school possible. #teachingcoyotes

Education is not teacher centered or even student centered, but it is relationship centered. Teachers thrive w/ positive admin relationships & students thrive w/ positive teacher relationships. Relationships drive education.

A little late but Happy Earth Day! I always enjoyed having class outside and enjoying this beautiful planet we live on. I’m the future, I will definitely try to take my students outside when I have the chance. #teachingcoyotes

When it comes to climate change, time really is running out. Earth Day is a reminder that if we pledge to do our part and then follow through on those commitments, we can help preserve and protect our planet for future generations.

Completely agree. A white washed history does no good for our students. Giving honest lessons and having tough conversations is not easy, but it is the only way we can really learn from our past mistakes and ensure we don’t repeat the same things in the future. #teachingcoyotes

In Germany, teaching the Holocaust is mandatory. It includes visits to concentration camp, museums, etc. They don’t shy away from their own ugly history. Yet the kids aren’t damaged; they’re strengthened, matured, humbled. US needs to do same re slavery. Not that complicated.

Love love love this!!! ❤️ #teachingcoyotes

Absolutely. There needs to be a change in the system, and we as educators need to be that change. It is crucial that we do better for our students. We cannot go on like this. #teachingcoyotes

Absolutely agree. Let’s be the change we hope to see in the future. #teachingcoyotes

Couldn't have said it better myself. Teaching as a profession deserves more respect. #teachingcoyotes
