Let's talk about this! Teachers deserve a higher salary and the respect they deserve. Education is not easy and teachers are severely underpaid. Let's change this and give back to our hard working educators. #teachingcoyotes
So proud to have been involved in teacher pathway last year! I am so excited to continue my education at USD and work in the Sioux Falls school district. I would highly recommend (and have recommended) teacher pathway to all students #teachingcoyotes
The teacher pathway program allows high school students to experience the career of education firsthand with the guidance of teachers in the district. argusleader.com/story/news/edu…
Interesting take! I wonder if this could save teachers from burnout and make them better educators with time to rejuvenate ... I definitely think teacher sabbaticals should be a thing. Let's make this a thing! #teachingcoyotes
I know there are so many teachers struggling. The past few years have reminded me that the classroom is my place & I am loving teaching this year. But: I was on a LOA for most of last year. The time away rejuvenated me. My point: We should make sabbaticals a thing.
Great tips to use in the classroom! Teachers are not authoritarians. Be real with your students, they can sniff out someone who is fake. These are amazing pointers and I will be using these in my future classroom! #teachingcoyotes
Brain breaks are vital to students! We cannot run them ragged and burn them out. Breaks are a necessity for our students and they need time to process the information from our class, or just what has happened to them so far in their day. Fantastic article! #teachingcoyotes
Breaks are key to learning—skipping them may rob students of valuable cognitive processing time, new neuroscience research suggests. edutopia.org/article/we-dra…
This can be such a fun way to engage students and incorporate technology! I will definitely try to implement this in my future classes! #teachingcoyotes
Ready, set, break out! Escape rooms are a fun way to engage students in problem solving while learning class content. edutopia.org/article/using-…
Inspiring stories for teachers in every department, not just the Math, English, Science, and Social Studies teachers. Every teacher can make a difference to a student and change their lives. This was a very touching podcast and a reminder that teachers change lives #teachingcoyotes

100% agree. This needs to change. #teachingcoyotes
We need to do something about having a month or more of school left after standardized testing. I'm not the only one thinking this.
Great advice! As teachers, stepping out of our comfort zones can make all the difference for our students. Furthermore, it helps us as teachers be better and not get stuck in a rut of doing the same thing over and over again. #teachingcoyotes
I’m so proud of our teachers who have tried new things in their class this year. It’s not easy stepping out of our comfort zone… but it's something we all need to do from time to time.
It does not matter who you are or what you identify as, everyone deserves to feel safe in school. This is so disappointing and frustrating. Let's work on making our school a safe space for EVERY student. #teachingcoyotes
Unbelievably sad. Shame on this school district.
Yes! I want my students to feel as though I am not their manager. My classroom will be a safe space for them and I don't plan on making them feel pressured or as though I am hard on them. I can not agree more! #teachingcoyotes
Unbelievably sad. Shame on this school district.
This is fantastic! I will definitely be implementing this in my future classroom! #teachingcoyotes
This is a fantastic article! I would highly suggest it to anyone going into teaching. I will definitely be implementing this in my future classroom. #teachingcoyotes

So excited to see the animals from our local shelter at USD's pet away the stress event on Wednesday! The end of the semester is so hard, keep going yotes! Make sure to take care of yourselves and drink water! We can make it! #teachingcoyotes
Very accurate and something that is very troubling in our Spanish programs. I hope to see some change or awareness in our programs from teachers and the curriculum. #teachingcoyotes

Definitely relatable haha! One of my teachers in high school had a "freak out corner" for students. This is hilarious and something I may contemplate for my classroom... #teachingcoyotes
Kids Inc staff deserve to be appreciated! They put in so much work in the after school program. So happy they have a whole week to feel the love and support from their hard work. We thank you and we need you! Keep being amazing! #teachingcoyotes
It's After School Professionals Appreciation Week! We're grateful for our Kids Inc staff throughout our elementary buildings who make a difference every day for students! #heartofafterschool
It is so fun to have friends @BrianaDewitte and @ElenaWhalenUSD that share the same passion for teaching as me! We discuss education and how important to make friends in the field not only for connections, but to have people understand your frustrations and listen #teachingcoyotes
This is an interesting take. As someone that graduated last year and currently attending college, I can say that I am much more engaged in my classes that are later rather than earlier. Students need time to wake up and be engaged. This is an excellent suggestion #teachingcoyotes

Wow! My peer found some amazing materials that can be beneficial for all teachers. I would highly suggest on checking them out! #teachingcoyotes
