Reminded of all the amazing math that @omomoze and his son do in this gem of a video (and can't wait to start riding trains again with my own kiddo!). #earlymath #ece youtu.be/5g2j46fVm-8

New blog post by amazing preschool teacher @gaxiola_natali!

NEW #OTYMT BLOG! #Preschool teacher, Natali Gaxiola, writes about reimagining the #earlychildhood classroom online and the power of building a classroom community that celebrates both students’ home and school lives. @gaxiola_natali @kassiaowedekind hubs.ly/H0G13wp0

Asking for someone: "Does anyone have kid-friendly materials about Sherrilyn Ifill or Bryan Stevenson? I am reading to a 4th grade class for BHM, and since one of them may get a SCOTUS nomination, I wanted to teach the kids about them..." #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackHistory365

It’s not just that it’s an open-ended task… the STUDENTS have to perceive that it’s open-ended. -@meganlfranke at #cmcmath @CAMathCouncil

Husband saw a Zoom recording of me and commented on the filter. Nope, didn't use one!! So, basically... the modern-day-equivalent of "you look nice today, honey". I'll take it.

Kim's #countingcollectionsathome shared at #EarlyMathHigherEd yesterday. So many different ways to stack these 48 spools of thread (how many of you want to rearrange the 5&3 to be 4&4??). #countingcollections @DREMEmath

Our SoCal #EarlyMathHigherEd cohort sharing their #countingcollections they found during their lunch break. Gave us an opportunity to count AND get to know each other. @DREMEmath

Proud to report: non-math-ed husband told me I missed some awesome counting (by our 4yo) and then detailed her count sequence in the teens and how she skipped object 17, then backed up recounted to fix her 1:1. My work here is done. #countingcollectionsathome

Here’s a fun “What Do You Notice?”! Doodle art by @lonersmovie writer @NeilMcGowan3 Tell us- what do you and your Ss notice?? Anything related to spatial ideas?? #mtbos #iteachmath #elemmathchat #cgimath

Thanks so much @recinossuly and @BerkeleyEverett for Español audio and captioning! Please share this version with families! #countingcollectionsathome #contarcoleccionesencasa

A profound example of home-school connections from @ekazemi where it's not just school math going home, but rather home/family/cultural history are at the center of it. And the math can emerge so naturally from this center. #countingcollectionsathome
