Felt honoured and proud today to receive an MBE. It’s incredible and did not expect the Royal Family to put this tweet out! Congrats to all who received their honours, some amazing people doing good work. It’s an honour to work with women, British Muslim women. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

"Really this honour is not just for me but for all the Muslim women I have worked with around the country who are doing amazing things and contributing to their own local communities" @AkeelaAhmed founder @SheSpeaksWeHear, an online platform for Muslim women, receives an #MBE

We are calling for tighter restrictions on fireworks following the death of Roxie, our endangered red panda kit, on bonfire night. Our expert vet team believe it's likely that three-month-old Roxie died due to stress caused by fireworks in the local area.

Biden meets Trump at the White House, in a courtesy Trump never afforded to Biden. A reminder that the only reason the system isn’t a complete mess right now is Trump won and the Democrats are still basically committed to democracy, in a way MAGA (and many Repubs) are not.

Please point me to evidence that Musk is highly intelligent and not mendacious or malevolent. Instead, the evidence for him being a greedy, vindictive, anti-free speech power hungry narcissist in a stupid hat is voluminous. I implore @RichardDawkins to look at evidence.

I take (possibly forlorn) hope in the fact that although Trump is a mendacious, malevolent, transparently evil man, and stupid with it, Musk is not. He is highly intelligent and, diametrically opposed to Trump, he has the welfare of the world at heart. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

The idea for so called better data on nationality (a euphemism for minioritised people from the global south in this context) has been pushed forward by Reform MPs and discredited academic Matt Goodwin. It is not a genuine challenge or plea. The ONS is a rigorous and objective…

72 per cent of Somalis here live in social housing compared to 16 per cent of the population overall. We desperately need proper data on benefits claimed by nationality so policy on immigration and welfare can be informed. My challenge to the minister today:

It's slightly bizarre that this story features so many people who were useful during the Twitter acquisition -his one obvious failure. We have to take seriously, though, the prospect of some of these people being highly effective and what that means 1/ on.ft.com/3CoA90H
