How do you summarize 30 years of research in 6 minutes🤔? We don't know, but here is our take on it!

At the Vancouver #ITEX meeting we also had world premier for our #Latnjajaure ITEX 30 years anniversary movie. Thanks for support @Naturvetenskap Well done @Behind_Science! youtu.be/yu3-ZZRI58M?si…

We will all miss Ulf, who was instrumental in establishing the #ITEX network and in keeping the #Latnjajaure Field Station running all these years.

Mats P. Björkman and I have prepared a memorial to honor Prof. Ulf Molau, who sadly passed away this summer. A brilliant scientist, my PhD supervisor, and dear friend—he will be deeply missed but never forgotten. @Naturvetenskap @goteborgsuni tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

A great week of flying lidar and multispec in the mountains around Ritsem as part of PI @RobertGBjork, @Riikka_Rinnan and my @Vetenskapsradet project on reindeer grazing. Great help from postdoc Cole Brachmann, PhD Alex Srolleru and 3 MSc students. 🏔😊

Finally up running with our @Vetenskapsradet funded #ReindeerFlux project. Two long days and luckily I have a very dedicated postdoc and MSc-students measuring GHG and BVOCs, as well as flying drones. Great collaboration with @RRs4es and @Riikka_Rinnan

New paper out from @APEGU1's @RobertGBjork using our reindeer exclusions. Another paper highlighting the value of maintaining long-term monitoring.

📢New Paper🚨A great lead by @JIgnacio_R! Interestingly, ungrazed plots showed higher biodiversity relevance, indicating more plant-host interactions. However, forbs declined faster without herbivores, stressing their role in preserving plant diversity. nsojournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/oi…

Arrived in Ritsem and started with a test run of all equiment to make sure it's ready to go tomorrow. MSc-students Maja and Malin fully occupied under supervision of @ColeBrachmann

Fully packed for this year's field season. Looking forward to starting up the trace gas measurements in our exclosure experiment.

Today @ColeBrachmann visit @VOLT_center to get instructions for this summers BVOC sampling in the new ReindeerFlux project funded by @Vetenskapsradet Field season coming up soon!

#BVOCs super expert @Riikka_Rinnan was giving the best intro and tips to the newbies who will conduct gas sampling across a range of cold ecosystems @VOLT_center #lake #ghg #BVOCs #permafrost

Congratulations Siri to a well executed thesis!

Siri Holm Hjelmerud presented her MSc thesis in Earth Sciences today "Combining in situ methane flux measurements and multitemporal UAV LiDAR for a degrading palsa", finding a (likely) time lag between palsa degradation and increased methane emission. Well done Siri! @APEGU1

🚨Paper alert! Involving #Latnjajaure data and contribution from Mats P. Björkman and @RobertGBjork Great led by Cassandra Elphinstone and great example that the International Tundra Experiment is not only monitoring and warming! @GGBC_GU @Naturvetenskap @becc_sweden

📢New paper out!🚨A #ITEX collaboration using genetic data of Cassiope to reveal multiple independent Pleistocene refugia across Arctic, challenging a recent expansion out of a single Beringian refuge and highlighting recent gene flow in northern Canada. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

Interested in remote sensing and tundra vegetation change? If, then we have great opportunity for a PhD here in Gothenburg with a great supervisor team (@RRs4es, @RobertGBjork, and @Ali_Beamish).

📢 Do you want to do a #PhD using #hyperspectral satellite data to observe climate influences on tundra vegetation in Sweden? With me, @RobertGBjork and @Ali_Beamish, @goteborgsuni @APEGU1 Apply by 9 June - more info here: tinyurl.com/4m7s57ua
