Take two minutes for Chadwick Boseman’s inspirational message from his 2018 Howard University commencement speech. At the time, he was two years into his private stage 3 cancer fight.

The Annual African, African American, and Caribbean Studies Summer Institue was my favorite training ever year as PBC Teacher.

.@UFT president Michael Mulgrew calls on parents to join teachers to demand @NYCMayor close schools now. If not, @UFT plans to go to Supreme Court tomorrow to force @NYCSchools to comply with state health mandate to close schools when there is a positive case

Here’s another idea @NYCMayor @NYCSchools @DOEChancellor of how students can receive food. @MTA could possibly drop meals to certain stops.

New York State Education Department is now providing districts throughout the state guidance on how to establish a summer school meals program right now

This doesn’t include teachers huh @NYCSchools @NYCMayor @DOEChancellor all schools are large gatherings

New Yorkers over the age of 50 and anyone with chronic conditions like lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, cancer or a weakened immune system must take additional precautions. Avoid large gatherings or coming in contact with those who are sick. More: nyc.gov/coronavirus

My classroom was nearly empty today @NYCMayor @NYCSchools Those students are at home not learning. We need a plan to close to stop the spread. You don’t get to put a million New Yorkers in danger. Plan for food distribution and widespread relief so that people can truly isolate.
