I am thrilled that @KamalaHarris has announced her decision to run as the Democratic Nominee at the 2024 Presidential Election!! I hope and pray for a Harris, Tim Walz victory! We need her strong leadership now more than ever if we want to defeat Trump!!

I heard about Trump’s attempted assassination last weekend! I want to say this one thing: I in no way shape or form will ever condone violence; especially in a political platform such as a rally. I do not want him dead, I just want him to leave our country alone!

I was also kind of shocked to see Ana de Armas receive her first Oscar nod for her remarkable portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in “Blonde”. I guess the Academy cannot resist any biopic about her; even if it received a mediocre score on Rotten Tomatoes. Talk about Oscar surprises!

I was so shocked with the Academy’s decision to nominate Andrea Riseborough for Best Actress this year. I was adamant that either @violadavis or Danielle Deadwyler would receive nominations. I guess I should never underestimate the power of social media these days. LOL.

I also just finished seeing “Babylon”. It was definitely formulaic with major pacing issues, but overall, it was a solid film. Margot Robbie was magnificent and Brad Pitt was great; but it was not his best. Great comeback performance from Tobey Maguire though! Overall 4/5 stars!

I just saw “Everything Everywhere All At Once” and I just have to say, it is by far and away one of the best films of the year!! Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan were all the standout performances in my opinion! If you haven’t seen it yet, WTF??!!

I hope that the perpetrator, Bobby Crimo spends the rest of his life behind bars! Let him rot. Because of his actions, 7 innocent people who were simply watching a 4th of July parade celebrating their nation’s Independence are dead! I hope he rots in prison!

I realize this is three months after the fact, but it’s better late than never to post about the 4th of July shooting that happened in my hometown of Highland Park, Illinois. I am heartbroken that gun violence found its way in an upper middle class, safe Chicago suburb.

I am so thrilled that Zendaya won a second Emmy for her mesmerizing performance on “Euphoria!” She crushes it in every scene she’s in! Kinda pissed though that my girl, @sydneysweeney didn’t win! She’s just as brilliant and deserves as much recognition. Always next time!
