Do I know anyone/any org that has some generic slide decks for adaptation on basic searching and/or citation management? I feel like I've made a thousand of them in the past and have no idea where any of them are. Please don't make me re-invent the wheel... (again...)

New paper klaxon - what approaches to preconception care work for people with health conditions? Great realist review led by @Hjhopper and with @v_woolf, Kate Maslin, @BridieKent Jill Shawe: tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

since when did NIH/PubMed become an absolute military fortress?? 😭 just trying to set up an autoalert linked to my new workplace email and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to make a new account

I started a new role this week! ♥️ I'm not ready to announce specifics publicly just yet but I'm excited to embark on a new opportunity with lots of growth and learning potential. Onward and upwards!

hello friends! I've been taking a planned and much needed work sabbatical recently, but I'm starting to think about next steps. If you hear of positions that would be a good fit, esp. if remote friendly, please pass them my way! ❤️ 1/2

This is your periodic reminder that every, and I mean EVERY, librarian/MLIS graduate should be subscribed to @doctorow’s newsletter Pluralistic. Too many of our schools abdicated their responsibility to teach about current issues in tech. pluralistic.net

Things I wish I had known about academic writing: A thread 🧵 #AcademicTwitter

Whatever it is they did to Doodle over the weekend was a terrible failure. It was already bad… why go to the trouble of making it worse??

More fun publisher surveillance: Elsevier embeds a hash in the PDF metadata that is *unique for each time a PDF is downloaded*, this is a diff between metadata from two of the same paper. Combined with access timestamps, they can uniquely identify the source of any shared PDFs.
