11)This was never a competition. Physicians and PAs worked as a team for decades. Collaboration existed, it is not a new phenomenon. There is not and was not any competition until you all created a scenario in which you attempted to do just that-compete with physicians.

Is it possible to win Olympic Gold if you have type 1 diabetes? The answer is a resounding YES! 💪 Alexander Zverev is all set to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Zverev will be defending the Gold Medal he won at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics! 🇩🇪🥇

Well worth a read. Accurate. Thoughtful. Well put together 👏👏👏

In shocking news, there's been quite a bit of discussion in our house this weekend (for the few hours I wasn't at work, at least) about this, and I've been reflecting on the architects of this mess. Time for a thread.

I would just ask all the leadership @NHSE_WTE @NHSEngland @gmcuk to think about what has been facilitated via LTWP The Union of Doctors is suing the Regulator of Doctors...who will fight the case using money from Doctors Over a group of people who are....not....Doctors.

The argument doesn’t stack up As a clinical oncologist, I’m ‘over-qualified’ to put in a cannula Guess who they call when they’re struggling to get one in I often succeed where others have failed b/c I have done 1000s of cannulas throughout my training 1/2 @drcolinm @gmcuk

I “clerk in” patients … but it’s precisely because of my ‘overqualification’ it is quicker, costs less, and the diagnosis is far less likely to be wrong. I got here by doing simple then complex stuff over many years. Now I can recognise when ‘simple’ is actually complex too.👇

Some lovely news It appears that @NHSEngland may have the highest access to #CGM in anyone living with #T1Diabetes - globally. The number? 98% From a standing start of 2% in 2017 We made a promise to get to 20% in NHS long term plan in 2019 Think we smashed that target 😎

On a different topic a slide showing the amount of time spent with our healthcare professionals in a year. This reiterates the importance of peer support. #diabetesweek

Thanks for highlighting this again, Rachel. It seems to get worse. I consider myself as a cancer specialist after working in the NHS for over 30 years. I only considered myself being labelled as a specialist in cancer after being appointed as a colorectal cancer consultant in…

I’m simply horrified to see @NHSEngland now literally breaking the law in how it misrepresents physician associates & other allied health professional - who are NOT doctors - to the public. These posters are from the Bradford District & Craven Health & Care Partnership. 1/n

Wise words from the man himself
