Sweeping generalisations & negative stereotyping of 7,500 people based on off-duty actions of a few wouldn’t be tolerated in any other walk of life. The @defenceforces culture of dignified silence in the face of such blatant anti-military bias must be the first culture change.
It’s an impressive collective feat of mental gymnastics to reconcile a demand for an organisation consistently bottom of @CSOIreland public sector pay table, with limited rights & unlimited liability, and working time unrecorded, to be held to higher standards than anyone else.4/

Happy to announce that after further correspondence @eircare finally arrived at the conclusion I suggested all along. They reviewed their own processes and realised the error of their ways. Thankfully charges for equipment we returned have been removed from our account. 🥳

Absolute joke of a customer service department @eir Can't govern their own franchises to ensure the equipment returned to stores is looked after and processed, then assigns the blame to the customer and bills you for their incompetence! Clowns 🤡🤡🤡 #eir
Putting the onus on me to attend the @eir store to figure out what @eir staff did with the equipment I returned is an unusual way of engaging my services. Nevertheless I have informed @eir @eircare that I will be charging a consultancy fee for my time, plus travel expenses.
To update on @eir customer service: still an insistence that I have to travel back to the shop to figure out what they’ve done with equipment I returned 2 months ago. Otherwise I’ll be billed for the lost equipment. @eircare
1/2 @eir lose equipment and then try to bill the customer for it. After over an hour on the phone with their “customer care” @eircare their only advice is go back to the shop where we returned the equipment to see what they did wrong or what their staff did with it.
