a crazy turn around. I'm pumped to be racing the BobCat Trail 26.2 in Southern OH on Saturday. But, it was questionable after NoBusiness100 two weeks ago. it's not gonna be pretty. it's harder to bounce back from a 100 miler at 60 than 50

I need to get back to #BigSouthFork! I am itching to run another hundo before the year ends! there's nothing more primal than spending a day in the forest

If you want to see what mile 61 of a 100 mile race in 100 degrees looks like, check out the new @runfreetrail video--10 minutes unedited coming into and leaving the main aid station. Freetrail is lifting up the entire sport! youtube.com/watch?v=odzSn8…

what was I doing? I was looking forward to soaking in all the geological formations like the twin bridges at Big South Fork at the #NoBusiness100 this weekend. but I missed them! What was I doing that I missed taking in these beauties 🤔😂 they were at mile 10!

i've mixed up my race calendar a good deal in 2024. greater diversity in distances and types of races. but, I almost missed racing a true 100. so, I jumped into #NoBusiness100 next weekend. I'm not trained for a hundo, but I think my fitness is at a good place #UltraRunning

you got to love @FitFounder he just creates statistics from air. it makes you wonder what else he creates that may seem true, but is not factually accurate. but, if you can drop a sub 6 mile at 60, then you are alive

If you can still sprint after the age of 30 you're fitter than 95% of the modern population.

a great Saturday watching my son crush at Shawnee trail races. the race is brutal for the uninitiated. I can't imagine rucking this bad boy with a 35 lb ruck and boots. more race RD's need to encourage our soldiers to participate in their races...and yes make it possible

While some myths and religious texts were apparently not popular, others were widely read. An example of this is the Sumerian known in antiquity as "Enlil sudrashe" (Enlil forever) and is known by modern scholars as "Enlil in the Ekur." Ninety copies of this tablet are known

half a mountain = no challenge. #PikesPeakMarathon 2024 was modified due to "snow?" bummed. but, enjoyed the experience. my quads are still letting me know what if feels like to descend some 4000 feet in 7 miles. #PPM2025

a good mix in life: the Magnolia Gravel Galore 60 miler was a good time. I enjoyed "racing" in the back of the pack for my first gravel race. the course was challenging. lots of gravel! some 4800 feet of climbing. Next: #PikesPeakMarathon

the weather is looking perfect! I jumped into my 1st gravel bike race this Saturday. just a bit of diversity in racing😏been doing limited riding this summer. it's gonna be done with all base fitness as an ultra-runner. The mens 55+ field contains savages

i'll take it. my first race in a new age group😂 it's great to feel like running at 60. it's been three weeks of resting after the #Buckeye200. eating and putting on a few lbs. it's all good. short races are not my jam. but today it was a good day.
