Need another reason to worship @Beyonce? She introduced new audiences to the Afro-Cuban, earth-based religion Santeria and to their deities, the orishas, who blessed me with the opportunity to write this article for @Orion_Magazine orionmagazine.org/article/oshun-…

We made the @miaminewtimes "Best of" list this year and I'm kvelling. First time we made it was after the launch of Issue 1 and here we are at 10. 🥹 Thank you @theliz4eva and the good peeps doing journalisms over there for lifting the community up. We're in awesome company.

We're back on the @miaminewtimes "Best of" list! Feeling honored and humbled. We're part of a brave community always up against $$, politics, and frauds. A kind of ironic phrase to use in context of Miami's *issues* but: 𝕒 𝕣𝕚𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕚𝕕𝕖 𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕥𝕤 𝕒𝕝𝕝 𝕓𝕠𝕒𝕥𝕤

I wrote about #Santeria, @Beyonce, and my experience with the religion.

It’s Beyoncé release day! If one album isn’t enough, Liz Tracy explores the legacy of Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade,’ its ties to Santería, and Black liberation. orionmagazine.org/article/oshun-…

Do these images look familiar? If you’re a Beyoncé fan you might recognize them. Prepare for Cowboy Carter as @theliz4eva dives into Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ and the volatile gods that inhabit the visual album. Art by Harmonia Rosales. buff.ly/3xdN9DS

New research released on #IWD24 confirms: A majority of Americans want to end the #GlobalGagRule, a US policy that blocks access to essential health care & info for women around the world. We will continue to work so everyone can get the care they need, no matter where they live.

“I didn't see how high the temperature would rise in music from the rawness and unapologetic delivery in my verse,” @TRINArockstarr says in a @miaminewtimes interview. She'll be at the @hiphopmuseum event for #artweekmiami tomorrow. shorturl.at/dwKPV

Love this movie! Watch it at @OCINEMA this week!

Check out my cover story this week on an excellent film! Catch it at @OCINEMA!

I've started a Substack -- Not a Serious Life -- about mostly not serious culture stuff. I wrote a review of my 6-yr-old's favorite songs @marshmello @PostMalone, @AndJustLikeThat hitting its stride, and how @LidiaBastianich is the best teacher. liztracy.substack.com

Hago este comentario porque dos de mis familiares quienes iban de partida de Cartagena a Miami fueron sometidos a rigurosas medidas solo por el hecho de llevar artesanía que habían comprado en diferentes regiones que habían visitado.

I just explained who Dr. Oz was to my 5 year old, and he said "sounds like a bad guy from Spider-Man." Vote for @JohnFetterman

Abortion bans deny us the power to decide what happens to our bodies and futures. They infantilize people they want to raise the next generation. Please VOTE for abortion rights and our human rights. @PPact

...know that people who are denied an abortion end up with lower incomes & in worse physical health. Most people who have abortions already have children — and their kids suffer. We no longer have the same rights to protect our health as men in 18 states. ansirh.org/research/ongoi…
