"I'm gonna be blunt here: Elon Musk is running Twitter into the ground...and it's the best Twitter's ever been." @trevornoah

Ryan Coogler, Nate Moore, Kevin Feige, and the entire #WakandaForever team deserve all the praise for their efforts and thoughtfulness on this film. It is truly remarkable. (And those who didn’t trust them and made a fuss will undoubtedly apologise ASAP when they see this.)

"For Ryan Coogler, what about this movie are you most proud of?"

I only came back to this bird site in 21 for Marvel memes…have been quiet-quitting but just FYI #WakandaForever 💯/10 I cried I gasped I cried I laughed I cried I cheered I cried I held my breath I CRIED… and then I walked out with my heart so full, so excited to see it again!

PSA to POC with your regular reminder that representation without true justice is an absolute farce (with an added *eyeroll sigh* that commissioning "Growing Up INDIAN in Australia" erases those of us from the rest of the subcontinent and plays into ongoing nationalism issues)

just found out that black inc is commissioning a "growing up Indian in Australia" and now is a good time for a reminder that black inc is under shwartz media and has a "progressive except for palestine" policy and we don't need representation at the cost of palestinian people

I’m reminded this week of what Dr Cornel West said last time I saw him speak, and has said often since (to paraphrase): White people are very lucky that Black people seek equality, not revenge.

Absolutely disgusting - @WAGovernment is clearly failing its duty of care on this very obviously reasonably foreseeable risk of harm here abc.net.au/news/2022-10-3… If you're in WA you can sign the formal petition to the Legislative Council here: parliament.wa.gov.au/Parliament/LCe…

THE WAY I AUDIBLY GASPED.

Everytime I hit a paywall on some respected journalism site and then simply don't read the article rather than subscrining, I think about how Fox, Breitbart, The Daily Mail, et al. never ever ever paywall their content. I think about this constantly.

If @rihanna just released T’Challa’s homegoing song I swear I am truly not sure how the F we are supposed to watch #WakandaForever without the cinemas giving us free tissues with our tickets 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Those are the dehumanising things that open the flood gates to the violence that leads to the murder of Aboriginal people. Children. But you probably don’t consider some of those things as bad as others. But they’re all one and the same. All under the one umbrella.

The belittling and condescension. The gaslighting, the mockery, the accusations. The preconceived ideas you may have in your head that are reinforced over and over. The myths and lies you’re fed and the assumptions you make from them.

I find it particularly strange when people say they can’t understand how this could happen, in 2022. People are racist. You might be one of them. Crimes like this just don’t come from nowhere. They stem from all those jokes and jibes. The micro-aggressions.

i was on tumblr when yahoo had to sell it for $3 million after buying it for $1.1 billion. we were all a little bit responsible for losing yahoo a billion dollars. and with that type of collective effort, i believe we here on twitter can lose elon musk even more

A heartbreaking thread but if you don’t already know their names and their faces and their stories you simply must learn, and never forget them. And given we are grieving these kids in the same week as @4corners #HowManyMore is not a coincidence either. It’s all connected.
