Desert warbler at winterton this morning

Decent seawatch off peninnis headland, st Mary's isle of Scilly this morning in a 35mph northerly gale 7.45-8.30am 30 Cory's Shearwater, 3 manx, bonxie, 3 arctic skua and fulmar @RareBirdAlertUK


Tresco bonelli's warbler just heard to call at 4.15pm, it's a western @RareBirdAlertUK


Tresco today, a mobile Bonelli's warbler and firecrest at 3.20pm in the sallow and white poplar clump SE corner of great pool and yellow browed warbler at abbey crossroads. Plus some friendly sparrows!

Fun evening with @Scillypelagics south of the scillies included, bow riding common dolphins, 6+ Cory's, 7 great, Balearic, 2 sooty and a few manx Shearwaters. Adult Pom skua with spoons, 2 bonxies, arctic skua, YL gull, kittiwake and a few storm petrels.


Paddyfield warbler in the hand at porthellick, isle of scilly, the second bird caught in a week! Luckily we were near by

Well that certainly brightened up the day, oleander hawk moth, old town churchyard, st Mary's, Scilly.

Pretty quiet on Scilly, managed 2 firecrests near tolman point, 3 whinchats, redstart, wheatears, lots of blackcaps, song thrushes and twitched this rosy starling along with a cream tea at Carn vean.

Winterton/Horsey border early morning, Osprey, 4 redstart, 2 whinchat, 3+wheatear, 2 willow warbler, tree pipit, pied fly, 2 spotted flys, yellow wag, chiffchaffs, bugling cranes and a canopy dwelling shape shifting reed warbler.


Lovely to see lots of silver-studded blues on the wing at Buxton heath @NorfolkWT this morning

Thanks for clarifying @lowcarbonbirder, your initial tweet sounds like you turned up at a marsh warbler and re-identified it as a BRW, but you've cleared that up now. Happy birding to you Tim

Hi Tim, @lowcarbonbirder just saw your tweet and am a little confused, I found this bird mid morning Sunday 26th may, once i'd heard it in full song and obtained views I put the news out of Blyth's reed at midday. Not sure how you have identified it, unless you saw it the day B4?
