We are just finalising the 2 tour's details for the Andalucia Bird Society to Morocco next spring. 36 members are going and it prompted me to look through some of the photos from the tour to the same areas last year. Amazing Temminck's Lark was one of the many super birds we saw.

On 15th to 17th November Tumbabuey info@tumbabuey.org are involved in censusing resident and wintering populations of Lesser Kestrel. If you want to participate please email them and register. There are a lot of even local birders who believe breeding birds all migrate - Africa.

Mixed results for this year's Woodchat Shrike. Some areas have good occupancy of territories whilst others have none at all. Concerning.

The angry egret is a description often applied to Cattle Egrets. You can see why...

Thekla Lark always worth posting as several visiting and even resident birders get confused between this bird and Crested Lark.

Bee eater. From left to right: Cough it up, bring it up, throw it out. Always something going on with these great birds, here is a sequence of an adult ejecting a pellet (hard indigestible scales of insects)...
