Attended a commemoration event on the International Mother Language Day-2024 as a special guest jointly organised by the Tamil Foundation Malaysia and some strategic partners on 21 March, 2024 in Kuala Lumpur. Touched on the implications of the Day. Thanks for the invitation.

A 6-member trade del from Bangladesh Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industries (BMCCI) led by the President visited Malaysia from 20-22 Feb ‘24. Held meetings with me and with the CEO/Senior Officials of some important organizations to forge strong commercial and economic links.

Met Mohd Shafry Bin Mohd Rahim, Deputy VC of UTM(University Technologi Malaysia) on 4 March, 2024 in Johor Bahru. Discussed possible areas of collaboration between the universities of Bangladesh and the UTM. Thanked UTM for hosting over 350 Bangladeshi students.

Visited AlfaGomma in Johor Bahru on 5 March,‘24,an Italian Co. Held meeting with the Company leadership. Expressed satisfaction over the favorable working conditions. Also interacted with our workers. Thanked AlfaGomma for employing a good number of Bangladeshi workers.

Met H.E. Mr. Edgard D. Kagan, American Ambassador to Malaysia 🇲🇾 on 06 March 2024. Issues of mutual interests between Bangladesh 🇧🇩 and USA 🇺🇸 discussed. Reminisced my two diplomatic assignments in USA!

Interacted with the leadership of the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) over a dinner in KL on 07 March 2024. Welfare of Bangladeshi workers, collaboration opportunities with MEF and FMM, among others,figured prominently.

Met Tan Sri Samsudin Osman, President of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIUM on 20 March’24.Thanked for hosting nearly 500 Bangladeshi students and over 25 faculty members. Discussed possible areas of collaboration.

Attended an event at the MAHSA University on 16 March, 2024 organised by the Bangladeshi Youth Alliance Malaysia (BYAM) and the Student's Representative Council (SRC). Thanked the University for hosting a good number students from Bangladesh. Thanks for the invitation.

Interacted with CEO of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Ts. Mahadhir Aziz on 18 March ‘24. Both sides agreed to explore collaboration opportunities, emphasizing the shared desire to enhance cooperation and mutual benefit in the realm of ICT and the Digital Economy.

Recvd business team led by Dato’ Hasan Azhari Hj. Idris, CEO, Invest Selangor on 13 March’24.Discussed participation in 8th Selangor Int.Business Summit and 10th Selangor Int Expo and strategic collaboration in the field of trade promotion and investment facilitation.
