Apart from analyzing EE data, I will share experiences and skills on how to ace language tests used for EE. Our team is working on a TCF Canada website, which offers real TCF test questions and topics and integrates AI for tutoring. We plan to launch it in a month.
This 6300 CEC draw is an interesting window to see how severe the LMIA corruption is.
Canada will always be seeking immigrants. There will always be someone invited, but it's the preference that changes, and it's those not preferred are living in anxiety. The thing is: the preferences didn't come out of economic needs, but political.
FSW now only exists in category draws, it will become even harder when IRCC introduces a regional-based category draw.
Candidate pool distribution change since July: 1. Total candidate number has been stable, slightly declined. 2. 450-480 saw a total drop of 8551 profiles. 3. 481+ profiles increased by 21716. Conclusion: A CRS500 profile now is no longer the same as a 500 profile 6 months ago.
The 2/1 French draw is also the first time targeted draw in 2024. The official category name remains with 2023-1, that means the category may not change before end of June 2024. But this is only speculation.
2/1 French Draw. 7000 ITA, 365 cutoff. This is the new history low for the French category. Again, this proves my point: General category picks the leftover quota after PNP and targeted draws. It's the victim. CEC is a past tense, forget about it. general is CEC only now.
Today marks the end of January. Up to this point, Express Entry has invited 3280 candidates, around 802 are non-PNP candidates. Conclusion: this is going to be a very hard year for general candidates.
The study permit cap will have very little impact on the current Express Entry system, at least not for now. General draws will remain 500+. As candidates grow continuously between CRS 500-1200, we may never see a 400s general draw this year.
