1st time at @ieeeICASSP and finished presenting our work on graph sparsification. Very interesting conference with exciting research on “I should probably look into this” problems! I am recruiting PhD students so if interested, let’s chat. I will be here until Friday! #icassp2023

Tenured! There are so many people I should genuinely thank (and almost surely cannot thank enough): my outstanding students, supportive colleagues (you are the best!), letter writers (🙏), and of course, family and friends.

A major hurdle in detecting online fake news has been to determine the "intent" of fake news spreaders. This is the first work in this direction. Kudos to @XinyiZhouXZ as her 2-year work with @KaiShu0327, V.Phoha, @liuhuan on this direction is finally out. Please spread the word!

People may spread fake news unintentionally w/o knowing it's false. Interested in why it happens & how to assess the "unintentional" degree of fake news spreaders? Check out our paper accepted to WWW’22 w/ Profs @KaiShu0327 Vir Phoha @liuhuan @rzafarani: arxiv.org/abs/2202.04752
