.@ezraklein, as a first next step I urge you to reflect on what @BernieSanders said to you in 2015: “Open borders? That’s a Koch brothers proposal.” It makes everybody in America poorer. 👇 Please do us all some good and acknowledge that Bernie was right. When it comes to…

A few thoughts from the conversations I’ve been having and hearing over the last week: The hard question isn’t the 2 points that would’ve decided the election. It’s how to build a Democratic Party that isn’t always 2 points away from losing to Donald Trump — or worse. The…

<slowly backs away from 1 BILLION AMERICANS immigration fantasy>

Don’t have the energy to rebut bad takes one by one, but if you look at the breadth of the loss across the map and come up with “one weird trick for how Democrats could have won by being more left-wing” then you’re just not engaging with reality — which I guess is your business.

I will do something to change it. I will put America's rivers, wilderness, forests, wetlands, coasts, and soil at the top of President Trump's environmental agenda.

Colorado has normalized having rivers too sick and polluted to swim in. Also, we can't use them as conveyance for water, and must build pipelines instead. The political apparatus, both sides, does nothing to change it. denverpost.com/2024/09/08/den…

Bill must not have listened to the part about the border crisis, with @elonmusk describing illegal immigration as “a fundamental, existential issue for the United States.” 🎯 For those who want sensible immigration reform, including a secure border, check out @NumbersUSA

The richest guy in the world, and a former president of the United States, and you'd learn more from listening to almost anyone else.

Left unsaid is that population growth is putting food and water security in the U.S. at risk. Does adding 3+ million people a year through immigration make this problem easier to solve or harder? The U.S. has no plan for sustaining a larger population. nytimes.com/2024/08/05/opi…

Letting everyone in legally doesn't solve any of the problems Musk has been complaining about, even national security and public safety threats. 9/11 hijackers came legally. Any sensible immigration system must have rational limits. Increasing current level is not sensible.

As a reminder, I am very much PRO increasing legal immigration significantly. I’m not anti-immigration, I’m just against a massive number of unvetted people flooding into America, which any rational person should be.
