Best green plans do no harm - Las Vegas Sun News Basin and Range Watch letter to the editor lasvegassun.com/news/2024/nov/…

Our Interior Department has no problems with energy projects "adversely affecting" endangerded species. The Bonanza Solar Project is being OK'ed by the BLM in a very important desert tortoise habitat. They don't seem to care. From the BLM Biological Assessment:

We see many desert solar projects moving the trees out of the way. In the case of Copper Rays Solar, Nevada, groundwater pumping for construction could kill the mesquite located on the project site. Pesky biodiversity complicates big solar progress!

Our Interior Secretary seems unaware how unpopular this green energy transition seems to be. Nevadans are hating large-scale green energy with a passion. It this really good election strategy? Nevada is key to achieving clean energy future lasvegassun.com/news/2024/oct/…

Rhyolite Ridge is more of a boron mine than lithium mine. It will dry up ground water, impact bighorn sheep, put hazardous chemicals on the site and drive a rare plant to extinction. All for a mining company from Austraila. reviewjournal.com/business/energ…
