RE: #peanutthesquirel. Squirrels aren't rabies carriers. Animal handlers are normally vaccinated for rabies. Post-exposure vaccination and immune globulin would have been adequate, if not vaccinated. NY raccoons are rabies carriers. There was no reason to kill the squirrel
