Y’all watch this and insist women are too emotional to run the country?

This headline is completely inaccurate. They literally turned over the numbers. A story was published. "A lie can travel halfway around the world, while the truth is putting on its shoes."

Listen! The Historical Commission still has to vote to remove the bust! This is only step 1! Keep on the pressure!

Here’s the scene inside the Tennessee Tower, where the vote was taken by the Capitol Commission. Protesters led by @brotherjones_ have erupted in cheers.

Even on the livestream you can hear the protestors sporadically. They're still making their voices (albeit faintly) heard!

Ahead of this morning’s Capitol Commission meeting to vote on removal of Nathan Bedford Forrest bust, protesters from the People’s Plaza are shouting at the entrance to Tennessee Tower because they’re not allowed in. Commission members down the hallway can hear them.

Nathan Bedford Forrest did not have the most African Americans at his funeral. Please point me to the peer reviewed research that states this as a fact.

Powerful, nuanced, history-rich arguments from Mr. @Hallerin - If Nathan Bedford Forrest could switch positions at the end of his life, why can't we shift and move the bust? With the decision to move the bust to a museum, we can tell the entire story. #takeitdown
