After nearly a decade of work, NYC has completed a major redesign of Queens Boulevard, transforming the once-dangerous thoroughfare with safety improvements, including protected bike lanes and pedestrian islands, resulting in substantial decreases in fatalities and injuries.

The "Boulevard of Death" is now the "Boulevard of Life." Queens Blvd completes redesign, but more work is coming. queenseagle.com/all/2024/11/13…

The City Council approved the expansion of the LIC Business Improvement District, more than doubling its coverage area to become NYC’s largest geographic BID and extending its services (street cleaning, beautification projects, and promotional activities) to a larger area of LIC.

My org's VP, Steve Armato, talks to CNBC about how Amazon is using generative AI in very practical ways across our operations to drive more same-day shipping by enhancing delivery routes, warehouse robotics, workplace ergonomics, and inventory stocking.

Sounds wild, but 60% of #Amazon Prime deliveries in March came same or next day. I got an exclusive tour of a warehouse where gen AI predicts what you'll order, optimizes routes, and makes robots smarter. Power draw + ROI remain big questions. youtube.com/watch?v=7HgT-C… @smulpuru
