I am a big fan of Yalom, but not of this quote. Imo we should help clients/pxs to see & distinguish what is & what is not in their control, rather than try & deny their limits (& one's *own* as a therapist) by pretending that *everything* is in their control.

The only thing you need to be aware of in BPD Awareness Month is that it is a bullshit dx which blames victims of trauma for struggling with the aftermath of the horrors they were subjected to.
