A new class action has launched against the Toronto Police Service for the practice of “Carding”. We are seeking prospective class members who identify as Black, First Nations, Inuit or Métis and have experienced Carding since 2011.

Today marks the 110th year anniversary of the Order in Council signed by Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier prohibiting for a period of one year the landing of "any immigrants belonging to the Negro race, which race is deemed unsuitable to the climate and requirements of Canada."
