Good Wednesday morning! After a big round of severe storms last night, storms today should be isolated/scattered. But any storm can still reach severe levels once again. And the heat and humidity will remain intense! @GoodDayAtlanta

Also — see the skinny green line ahead of the rain? That’s gust front. It’ll be a cool rush of air. The green is just dirt/bugs, etc. the radar can see that are picked up by the winds.
A few gusty winds to 40 mph are possible as this broken line of storms moves into Atlanta. Locally heavy rain + lightning will also be possible.

Another active day of weather is underway. A broken line of showers and thunderstorms are currently moving across north Georgia with isolated activity across east central Georgia. More showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop through the afternoon. #gawx
High temperatures in the 90s accompanied by a moisture rich airmass will produce dangerous heat indices for areas along and south of the I-85 corridor on Sunday. A Heat Advisory will be in effect starting at 11am on Sunday and end at 8pm. 🥵 #gawx
