I remember that man, ridiculously young looking then. I look forward to hearing about your successes in the areas that you will now devote yourself to.
First day, last day... isn’t hair a mystery???
Also by moving to another room!
People become more creative while walking rather than sitting down.
Highly recommended, Simon helps you hone in on what problem you solve for clients and market yourself effectively. Sometimes you have to break down the big projects that you have led into smaller subsets because they are what clients are concerned about.

Many of the high profile failures have come about as the result of judgements on numbers rather than failure of internal controls per se. I would like to see much more review of the analysis and evidence to support carrying values in the balance sheet.

Are we heading for a ‘No Deal No Government’ Brexit!
I used to do this living in Copenhagen, in fact the leasing companies insisted on changing the tires. The other thing I miss is heated front windscreens, why we cannot get them in the UK I just don’t understand.
I've lived in Germany & Switzerland so here's a provocative suggestion to British motorists : winter tyres. Normal tyres lose grip fast below 7C. 2 wheel drive car on winters stops much faster & has more grip in snow than even a 4WD on summers. Put on in Nov, off in March.
Having all the basic controls should not be neglected just because the business needs to be realigned.

Still we are ok they are not ok, parent to child, not the way to influence and that is what the EU said back. Demoralising.

I think context is always critical, and consensus best practices often do not fit the particular circumstances.
Sometimes "best practices" just won't work for you, you have to find your own way...like this... share.ianbrodie.com/bemyself
Too often compensation is paid out on achieving only one of several KPIs that strongly influence each other and have future effects.

Wow, that surprises me. I wonder whether they would still think so if they read @HerminiaIbarra in Act Like a Leader, Think Like a Leader.
Often in the past it has been the CEO and CFO axis that has formed the Co-leadership in successful organisations? lnkd.in/e_hpbZK lnkd.in/eQ7_Z-E
Good insights in your blog Neil - @HerminiaIbarra in her book act like a leader, think like a leader really provides actionable advice.

Sound advice here. I would recommend identifying responses to the various forecast scenarios and getting on with dealing with any legacy issues that a buyer would use to justify reducing the earnings multiple they would apply. What do others think?

Time to revise the CV/Resume - two of my former employers have merged this year already: Quayle Munro with Houlihan Lokey and Burson-Marsteller with Cohn & Wolfe. Very best wishes to all those affected.
Heard a fascinating talk from Kizzie Nicholson @kizzwhizz on social media with the launch of her new book. There is so much to learn from Kizzie,
Heard a really enthusiastic talk by Miriam Payne @Millithefish this evening. She might even get me over my fear of dogs (having been bitten at a young age)
Would welcome other people's thoughts.
I think the scenario painted by Raj is very plausible, and I would speculate that the value add required will diverge into two: board level support to organisations going through pivotal moments, and highly focused consultant leadership for technical work. Thoughts anyone?
Some sound advice from real practitioners here. From my own experience in the middle of pivotal challenges in organisations, one of the most important criteria for success is to limit the number of simultaneous 'transformation initiatives'; anyone have any views?
