@omarbytesI make small bets building tools, while I wait for AGI. The future rarely arrives on time. 🔎https://t.co/dktfeYyVAT small search engine: indie indexing, no fluff
Reminds me of the "just a wrapper" rants (generally unfair in my opinion). Some people just want things to work. If you can build your own computer, great. But don’t trash a product because it wasn't built for people like you.
Every AI app has an AI model underneath it, a lot of them are (kinda) open source: - Stable Diffusion was free to use - Flux is free to use but paid if you sell it commercially like me - LLama is free to use until you hit 700M users All of that doesn't matter though: I can…
I think Google missed the transformer revolution because it’s stuck in optimization mode. Everything is not an efficiency puzzle. You rarely get anything new when you "follow the data" to avoid being held accountable for making bold decisions.
Imagine being Sundar Pichai now: - you had the largest continually updated data set of any company to train AI on (the Google Index) - you invented the underlying technology of LLMs like ChatGPT in 2017 called Transfomers - you had complete search dominance: all you had to add…
note to self: silicon-based decisions are overhyped. carbon-based (subjective) decisions can broaden the solution space. especially true in hard-to-model problems.
Election Day livestream tomorrow. I will be helping @omarbytes with his minimalistic search engine - kgrep. Idea generation, SEO potential etc. Live around 2:30PM ET / 8:30PM CET. Links in the comments.

is there a business or clinical term for the obsessive need to reorganize (to no effect) whenever revenue stumbles?
Each line of code, a testament to autonomy. Every customer, a validation of vision. But the true mastery lies not in the exit, nor the revenue, but in sustaining freedom.
Joining @SmallBetsDotCom has been a very good bet. The educational content is quickly actionable regardless of budget, and the community genuinely supportive ❤️
