Excited to share the latest paper from the lab, online today! ⁦@celarber⁩ showed Microglia are major contributors to the production of the amyloidogenic ABri peptide in familial British dementia FBD is super rare, so an explainer thread to follow! link.springer.com/article/10.100…

I’m so happy to have started my PhD this week! I’m excited to work with my wonderful supervisory team @saobettencourt @tammarynlashley @JBar_UK @UCLIoN This opportunity to make an impact wouldn’t be possible without the support of @AlzResearchUK 🧡

A roaring recovery on #GlobalTigerDay!🐯 Today, the Royal Government of Bhutan revealed tiger numbers in the country have increased from an estimated 103 in 2015, to 131 in 2022! 🙌 This is amazing news for tigers, but there's still lots more to be done to secure their future.

Microglia are always up to something 👀 ..even in Familial British Dementia Very happy to have a small role alongside brilliant scientists @DervisSalih1 @tammarynlashley @celarber @SelinaWray + others Check it out ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Very excited to share our preprint on the role of microglia in Familial British Dementia (FBD). Led by @celarber & in close collaboration with @tammarynlashley Never heard of FBD? Here’s a little thread on FBD and our new findings 🧵 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Amazing work!! 👏👏

Very excited that our review describing a role for DNA methylation in the (dys)function of oligodendroglia in neurodegeneration has been published - give it a read! Thanks so much to @saobettencourt @rohandesilva and Prof Tom Warner ! actaneurocomms.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…
