CHUFFED to have found this #1600s tin-glaze #APOTHECARY POT #mudlarking on the #Thames. This would once have contained ingredients like lions fat, sparrow brain and even crumpled up #Egyptian mummy (as well as more prosaic herbs and spices). #pottery

One of the most beautiful pieces of waste glass I have ever seen found #beachcombing

I'm very selective with the plastic I pick up from the #thames... today it's a blue baby... #mudlarking #plssticpollution

Ah. Sorting out old pictures. This is from over two decades ago - here I am with antiquated recording equipment and #Ugandan #President Yoweri #Museveni. (he is still in power... )

Looks like nothing much but is actually my eighteenth 18th century glass flower #gem found #mudlarking on the #thames ! A little pin goes in the side and then these pretty little nothings can fix gauzy materials...

Four little #glass seed #beads, battered over several centuries, #found #mudlarking on the #thames #foreshore earlier in the week. Likely 18th or early 19th and used in trade. Popular with the native Americans.

Paw patrol! Soft toy #rescue on the #thames #foreshore. He looks so much happier! #toweroflondon @TowerOfLondon #beefeater

#Found this tint coat of arms bottle seal #mudlarking last night, from a #POUHON #SPA #green #glass bottle circa 1723-1744 and imported into England from Belgium on the 1730s. The unusual seal are the arms of Prince Bishop of the Principality of Liege #thames

A cadger clay #pipe, late 19th century, likely #Manchester made, used for display or communal social #smokes. Even 'initiation' ceremonies. Found it in a rummage shop of #collectibles in Llandudno and couldn't resist!
