So unbelievably sad that TJ is now unable to get the surgery that would have transformed his life. Our children deserve so much better than this. @mandacoughlan has put so much of herself, her precious time fighting for our community this really makes us so sad. No family…

Amanda Coughlan's son TJ spent 4 years on a scoliosis waiting list By the time he got seen - it was too late to do anything 19 year old TJ and his family met @MaryLouMcDonald today to talk about the challenges they face Such an inspiring young man. @VirginMediaNews

Solidarity to #Palestine protestors attacked / arrested by PSNI this evening, disgraceful and heavy handed scenes. Questions need answered as to why PSNI have seemingly changed their approach to policing these protests. We have a right to protest.

Shocking footage of the @PSNIBelfast assaulting student’s peacefully protesting tonight. Students have protested against @QUBelfast ‘s complicity in genocide, failure to condemn genocide & support for @HillaryClinton without ANY violence or arrests for the past year.

🚨 Misinformation 🚨 There are over 280 children waiting for Scoliosis surgery. Not 80 as quoted by @SimonHarrisTD on @TonightVMTV And many children have been removed without the knowledge or consent of their parents. Also 19 million euro gone missing.

Your POC friends don't feel safe. It's so important to vote in GE24. There are prominent racists going for TD seats in Ireland and we need to make sure they don't get in. These are dangerous people who spread nothing but anti-immigration sentiment / extreme hate. Use your vote.

Every time I see a leftist screaming at disabled ppl asking to be treated equally, I’m going to remind you of Brad Lomax & the Black Panthers, who advocated fiercely for the rights of disabled ppl and helped spearhead the 504 protests. Disabilty justice is critical to liberation

Now with this knowledge @HSELive can you please take steps to make healthcare in Ireland safe to access. Educate your Dr's and nurses on respirator use, mandate it in hospitals, educate hospitals on importance of ventilation. Invest in air filtration. Test upon admission etc

Shout out to @HSELive for acknowledging a recent Covid infection as a risk factor for blood clots 🩸🦠 "Common respiratory virus" was always wrong. Covid is a multi-system virus. H/t @YouAreLobbyLud

It's also disappointing that legal experts who called this before the referendum were not listened to.

The decision of the Supreme Court in the BM case is disappointing. It underscores the continued need for constitutional reform, including a new constitutional Equality Guarantee. THREAD... @eilis_barry irishexaminer.com/news/courtandc…

All parties hopping on the end means testing bus but supported the care ref, are yous not deeply embarrassed

Huh who could have predicted

The decision confirms that words such as “endeavour” or “strive” do not “[commit] the State to the provision of any particular form or level of support or [give] individual mothers any legally enforceable right to support from the State”...

Heartbreaking How anyone can listen to this women's experience of homelessness and vote #FFg in this election is beyond me. This is going on almost a decade, it's shameful. They've been forgotten & abandoned #RteUpfront #HousingCrisis #HopeForAChange

Announcing €5 million for rare diseases sounds good, but with €19 million for spinal and Spina Bifida services mismanaged and an audit still hidden, how can anyone trust this? Until Minister Donnelly releases that audit, promises mean little. Where is the money…

Pleased to announce an additional €5 million in permanent funding for rare diseases in Ireland. My thanks to @RareDiseasesIE @debraireland and many more organisations for their engagement on this issue over the past number of years

I love how any discussion of Disability / Ableism immediately makes some people sound indistinguishable from Republicans talking about welfare on some "yeah I'm sure SOME people need support, but how many are just lazy freeloaders?" like ok Ronald Reagan calm down

I am so tired of living in this pandemic, it’s impacted every corner of my life and I am so unbelievably over being stressed and on the verge of tears because I don’t want to get worse. Unfortunately the world does not seem to be inclined to do anything. And so I post about it.

Unlucky for Taoiseach Simon Harris as his “new energy” sign falls to the floor as he answers my question about why people should believe Fine Gael’s housing policy when they’ve been in Government for near 14 years

disabled people point out these barriers not so we can “get away with not reading” or whatever ableist drivel y’all are spouting about it, but so that these barriers can be *addressed.* Which is what @twitchyspoonie was clearly advocating for in her original thread.
